Rain Droplets Simulator for blender 4.1 ->
NOTE only for static objects!
Also note, trails dont mix with other trails. Only particles affect each other.
!NOTENOTENOTENOTE!
If you open the file in earlier version than 4.1 it will probably break the file and wont work anymore so please download it again. I have tested this with multiple PC´s and it will work when you open it in 4.1..
(opening .blend file straight from file explorer might open it in wrong version you intended)
Heeeere comes rain! Or raindroplets at least.. you can make the rain separately.
Fun little simulation tool to make rainy scenes or product shots.
V02 Updates:
-Gravity control
-Trail lenght control
-Masking with object (plus degugger for mask area)
-Material Selection
-Better wind direction symbol
-Fixed transparent shadow for the shader
You can easily tweak different settings for different results, like disable the rain and just let the condansation start forming droplets naturally.
Made with love and passion, the droplets are not clipping through the surface of your objects to get realistic water shader ! Beauty is in the details.
To apply the effect on your own objects you can just add GeometryNodes modifier and search for the Blenderesse_RainDroplets_Simulator. Always remember to apply Scale and Rotation of your object with ctrl+A.
Also keep in mind that example is in real world scale and fairly small. Huge objects may cause crashing or get super heavy.
In the review there was mention about the droplet shader shadows. It seems in 4.1 you need to enable transparent shadows separately from the material menu. That is now fixed with the preset material.
Have fun!
Make things wet now!
